What's rarer than a Florida panther sighting? How about a new bank opening.
And it's even less common to see an opening where the chief executive officer and sports celebrities attend.
That's what happened this week when HomeBanc celebrated the grand opening of its newest Tampa bank in Westchase with special offers, as well as appearances from Tampa Bay's own LPGA Tour professional and 2009 Kraft Nabisco Championship winner, Brittany Lincicome.
Also appearing was Major League Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Robin Roberts. Both Lincicome and Roberts were available for photographs and autographs, along with a lesser celebrity but more relevant player: Jerry Campbell, founder, CEO, chairman and president.
