SARASOTA — Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida named Stephanie Kight as its new CEO.

Kight will start in the role on Feb. 1. She replaces Barbara Zdravecky, who will retire at the end of January after 24 years as CEO.

According to a press release, Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida serves over 45,000 patients at its 11 health care centers in 22 counties in Florida. The release also says Kight was selected from a pool of over 100 candidates from around the country.

Kight has held senior leadership roles at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and at Planned Parenthood affiliates in Ohio and California. She is also a spokeswoman statewide and nationally for Planned Parenthood.
