LARGO — Land Lease Group won the contract for the construction of the Public Safety Facilities and Centralized Communications Center for Pinellas County, an $81.4 million project that will occupy 40 acres in Largo.

The new facilities will include an emergency operations center, a 911 call center, and administrative and operational headquarters for the Pinellas County Sheriff, a release explains.

Land Lease will complete the project through operations at its Tampa office, and will work closely with Harvard Jolly, a St. Petersburg-based architecture firm, throughout.

Land Lease Group is an Australian company with 7,500 employees across the globe. The company's common stock is traded on the Australian Securities Exchange, and current share prices would set the company's current enterprise value above $5 billion.

In February, Land Lease won a construction job for Hyatt Regency, and the firm will soon begin construction on a 17-story, 906,000-square-foot hotel resort in Clearwater Beach.
