× Mario Pezzella was appointed vice president and chief executive officer for Sarasota-based LandMark Bank of Florida. Pezzella joined LandMark Bank from First National Bank (formerly West Coast Guaranty Bank), where he was commercial lending vice president.

× Kristen E. Curts joined Price Donoghue Ridenour CPA's & Business Consultants, Clearwater, as a senior accountant in tax and audit.

× Eugene O. George, an attorney of the Sarasota law firm of Bowman, George, Scheb, Toale & Robinson, was appointed by Gov. Jeb Bush to the Continuing Care Advisory Council. In addition to this position, George serves as general counsel for two Sarasota continuing care communities, The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch and Bay Village. The council, composed of 10 members, recommends needed changes in the statutes and rules governing continuing care communities.
