FORT MYERS — The Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association named industry veteran Neil Kagan executive director.

Kagan has nearly 30 years experience in manufacturing, 20 of those in Southwest Florida, according to a statement. For the past five years, he was an operations manager at Golden Manufacturing in Fort Myers. He's also efficiency expert and trainer and instructor on lean manufacturing and ISO 9001, the release adds.

“I enjoy listening to the ideas and concerns of local manufacturers and look forward to strengthening the SRMA as a resource center to enhance regional conversation,” Kagan says in a release. “Manufacturers are in an excellent position to thrive economically while attracting and retaining highly skilled, engaged employees who can also expect to be fairly well compensated. It's an exciting time.”
