Tech firm hires CFO, expands to nation’s capital

Lumina, a risk analytics company, welcomes finance and accounting veteran Albert Narvades.

TAMPA — Lumina, a Tampa-based risk sensing and predictive analytics company, named Albert Narvades chief financial officer and opened an office in Washington, D.C., to better serve its government and national security clients.

According to a press release, Narvades brings nearly 25 years of experience in finance and accounting to his post. Prior to joining Lumina, he served as CFO of Jagged Peak, a software-as-a-service tech company. Narvades also has worked for Ernst & Young as well as BP, serving as controller of the global energy giant’s Tampa-based alternative energy and biofuels group.

"Al has an impressive track record working with Fortune 1000 and Fortune 100 companies as well as with companies that are in a fast-paced, high-growth environment,” Lumina CEO Allan Martin states in the release. “This experience, combined with his background in software and technology, make him an excellent addition to the expanding Lumina team.”

Martin adds, via the release, "In addition to welcoming Al to the team, we are also excited to announce that we have opened our Washington, D.C., office, with a focus on opportunities in the government contracting space. We have opened 2019 with tremendous momentum and are well-positioned to deliver on our strategic growth plan as the year progresses.”
