Transflo, a mobile and cloud-based platform that serves more than 65,000 North American trucking companies and thousands of brokers and shippers, has named Renee Krug CEO and Bill Vitti president and chief revenue officer.
Krug, according to a news release, succeeds Frank Adelman, who will remain with the Tampa-based company as chair of the board after serving as CEO for the past eight years. She most recently served as CEO of GlobalTranz, a third-party logistics provider with more than $2 billion in annual revenue.
“Transflo is an industry leader with more than 2 million downloads of its Transflo Mobile app, the go-to tool for the 600,000 drivers using it every day,” Krug states in the release.
Transflo’s platform, according to the release, automates and simplifies customers’ supply chain processes. The firm recently received a substantial equity investment from private equity firm Bregal Sagemount, which Adelman says will “provide capital that will accelerate our product roadmap, hire more top talent and invest in our future.”
Vitti, the release states, brings more than 25 years of transportation industry experience to Transflo, including a stint as chief commercial officer at Truckstop.com, where he helped the company achieve “unicorn” status with a valuation of more than $1 billion.
