SARASOTA — After starting his career as a summer law clerk at Blalock Walters in 2015, Daniel VanEtten has worked his way up to principal in a short time.

The firm, which has offices in Bradenton and Sarasota, made the announcement in early January. VanEtten, a litigation attorney, officially joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2016 after graduating from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

“With its historic commitment of esteemed service to clients and community, Blalock Walters was the type of firm I wanted to join,” says VanEtten in a statement. “I am honored to be joining the ranks of the firm’s talented partners and I look forward to continuing to represent parties in a wide range of litigation matters.”

According to the release, VanEtten’s practice involves the litigation of business disputes, real estate disputes, probate, estate and trust disputes, employment, and health law related controversies. He represents individuals, developers, builders, retail stores, non-profit organizations, title companies, and other businesses.

“Dan is an excellent trial lawyer with hands-on experience beyond his years,” says litigation practice lead Charles Johnson. The local law firm employs over 30 attorneys who serve a wide range of clients throughout Southwest Florida.
