Perenich-Caulfield

sponsored food giveaway

Attorney Matthew Noyes of the law firm of Perenich, Carroll, Perenich, Avril & Caulfield PA hosted a Thanksgiving dinner giveaway for 40 families Nov. 25. Each family received turkey, corn, green beans, yams, fruit, biscuits, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. Noyes, along with his wife, Marti, spearheaded the effort in memory of his late mother, Mary Noyes, who died earlier this year.

Ruden McClosky planner elected to Bar committee

Foley & Lardner partner Mark Wolfson has been elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the Florida Bar Business Law Section for 2003-2004 as secretary treasurer of the executive council.

In 2002-2003, he served as chair of the business law section's legislation committee. Wolfson is chair of the firm's litigation department in Tampa, and leader of its business reorganization practice group for the Southeast region.

Ruden McClosky attorney to speak at real estate meeting

Sue Murphy, senior land planner with the law firm of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russel PA will address commercial real estate professionals at the Dec. 5 meeting of International Council of Shopping Centers in Scottsdale, Ariz. Murphy serves as the organization's chair for its Florida Government Relations Committee and national chair of the growth management task force. Murphy's topic: Project Entitlements, Permitting and Impact Fees; How to Save Time and Money in the Process.

Murphy is a certified land planner. She is a member of the American Planning Association , the American Institute for Certified Planners and the Congress for the New Urbanism and Commercial Real Estate Women.

Tampa attorney appointed

to Planning Commission

South Tampa attorney T. Clay Phillips was elected vice chair of the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission. He was appointed to the commission in 2001 to fill an unexpired term, and was reappointed for a four-year term in 2002.

Attorney appointed

to Review Board

Gov. Jeb Bush appointed MacFarlane Ferguson & McMullen shareholder Stephen Reynolds to the Pilotage Rate Review Board. Reynolds practices in land use and environmental law.

Stetson professor

publishes law book

Stetson professor Kristen David Adams has written the well-received book, "The Practice of Law School: Getting in and Making the Most of Your Legal Education." Nancy Rappaport, dean of the University of Houston Law School writes, "The Practice of Law School is the only book I've seen that shows potential law students both the forest and the trees." Adams co-authored the book with friend and attorney, Christen Civiletto Carey. The book was published by ALM Publishing, a division of American Lawyer Media. It is available online and at www.lawcatalog.com.
