The Lee County Tax Collector’s office is taking its work on the road, to help with Hurricane Ian recovery.
At the request of Lee County Tax Collector Noelle Branning, The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is bringing two units called Florida Licensing On Wheels mobiles to Lee County, according to a statement. These mobile units will provide residents with replacement driver's licenses, identification cards and titles. All fees will be waived, the statement adds, and no documents are necessary to issue replacements. The FLOW mobile also offers critical safety services such as emergency contact information registration.
“Our hearts are with our Lee County community as we continue to process the devastating impacts of Hurricane Ian,” the release states. “We know many of our fellow residents lost everything in this storm, including important documents like driver licenses, identification cards and titles. These can be vital when filing for insurance claims and getting aid from different agencies.
The FLOW mobiles will be stationed at Hertz Arena, 11000 Everblades Parkway, Estero, 33928, starting Monday, Oct. 3, 2022. Starting Tuesday, Oct. 4, hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. seven days a week.
