FORT MYERS — With an eye toward growth in Lee County, construction is underway on a 10,000-square-foot warehouse and office complex for Greenscapes of Southwest Florida. The new facility at 16100 Lee Road, north of Alico Road in southern Fort Myers, will be used to store and service lawn equipment, hold business meetings and provide staff training.

The company will employ about 100 supervisors and laborers at the new location.

“We’ve been serving Lee County clients from our North Naples office, so the new branch will put our landscaping teams and technicians closer to the residential communities we serve,” says Greenscapes CEO Steven Pruchansky in a statement. “We anticipate opening the new location in November and will start hiring additional employees in the coming weeks.”

GCM Contracting Solutions of Fort Myers is the general contractor. Southview Studios of Fort Myers is the architect. In addition to North Naples, family-owned Greenscapes has an office in Punta Gorda.
