The Fresh Market is the latest grocery chain to jump on the home-delivery train, and thanks to a partnership with Instacart, it’s rolled out the service at all 161 stores nationwide, including its Gulf Coast locations, just in time for summer grilling season.
Greensboro, N.C.-based The Fresh Market, in a press release, says delivery windows ranging from within one hour to up to five days in advance can be arranged via the Instacart app.
Locally, The Fresh Market operates stores in Bonita Springs, Bradenton, Clearwater, Fort Myers, Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Tampa and Valrico. Adding home delivery sets it up to compete better with Lakeland-based Publix — which has also allied with Instacart.
"After successfully partnering with Instacart in several of our key markets, we found our guests appreciated having a convenient option to order the specialty foods they love, delivered to their door when they want them," The Fresh Market Chief Marketing Officer Mary Kellmanson states in the release.
Privately owned, The Fresh Market was founded in 1982 and operates in 22 states.
