Jeanette Brock is retiring as president of Hodges University after just one year on the job, the university says.
There's no word from Brock as to why she decided to retire so soon after her appointment and a Hodges announcement included no comments from her. It only says her retirement was “planned.”
Brock, 65, joined Hodges in 1995 as executive vice president of academic affairs. In 2013, she succeeded longtime Hodges President Terry McMahan and introduced a series of new degrees and programs to grow the college.
The university says it's searching for a successor, who will be in place when the next fiscal year starts July 1.
