HCHMA creates 2011 board

The Hillsborough County Hotel & Motel Association elected its board of directors for 2011.

Greg Riehle, executive vice president and general manager of Saddlebrook Resort, will serve as president. Greg Brooks of Courtyard by Marriott will be vice president, and Martin Rothchild of Embassy Suites USF will be secretary/treasurer.

General board members are as follows:

• Jim Bartholomay, Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel;
• Joe Collier, Mainsail Suites Hotel & Conference Center;
• Derrick Morrow, Hyatt Regency Tampa;
• Ron Alicandro, The Westin Tampa Bay Airport;
• Steve Hayes, Tampa Bay & Co.;
• Cheri Rutledge, Tampa Airport Marriott;
• Mary Scott, Marriott Waterside and
• Jeff Weinthaler, Embassy Suites Hotel Tampa Downtown Conference Center.

Jerry Kulig (Outback Bowl), Ivy Peterson (AVI-SPL), Gina Thiemann (Florida Destinations & Incentives) and Bill Gieseking (Tampa Bay Sports Commission) will serve as allied members.

The Hillsborough County Hotel & Motel Association was formed in 1937 to represent local hospitality establishments.
