TAMPA — Macedonia, Ohio-based Great Day Improvements LLC, a fast-growing residential remodeling company that also owns brands such as Patio Enclosures and Stanek Windows, has acquired Tampa-based Hartshorn Custom Contracting Inc., a manufacturer of customized screened enclosures for pools, patios and lanais.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Hartshorn Custom Contracting Inc. to our family of businesses,” Great Day Improvements President and CEO Michael Hoy states in a press release. “Their exceptional quality, custom-made products complement our existing patio enclosure business perfectly and will allow us to better serve our customers and their design needs in southern markets. Plus, Hartshorn brings to our organization a strong and experienced team with considerable tenure in the enclosures business, which is a huge asset.”
Hartshorn will continue to operate at its Tampa facility. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed in the release.
With the acquisition, Great Day Improvements now employs 425 people across 28 U.S. markets, according to the release, and plans to continue to grow via acquisition.
“Great Day is actively seeking acquisitions in the building products sector,” Great Day Improvements Chairman Ed Weinfurtner states in the release. “We seek businesses that can be additive in terms of people, products, capabilities and new geographic markets. Hartshorn is a great example of the kind of business that fits with Great Day.”
