TAMPA — Harris Corp., an information technology company based in Melbourne, opened a new office in Tampa last Friday to support its clients in the region. Harris earns $5 billion a year in revenues.
The office is located at 4890 W. Kennedy Blvd, Ste. 280. Five employees currently operate from the new location.
Many of Harris' Tampa clients work within the U.S. Department of Defense, or one of several national intelligence agencies. A release issued by Harris says the new office would provide those clients with “converged solutions for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance; tactical communications; and information technology.”
With a total enterprise value of more than $6 billion, Harris Corp. is one of the largest public companies headquartered in Florida. Across the state, Harris employs 6,500 workers.
