BUYER: EDJG Holdings LLC (principal: Deanna Doyle), Sarasota

SELLER: Sarasota County Public Hospital Board

PROPERTY: 1950 Arlington St., Units 203-211, Sarasota

PRICE: $1.76 million

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Williams Parker Harrison Dietz & Getzen, Sarasota

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: The doctors of Gulf Coast Obstetrics & Gynecology Ltd.: Dr. Gary Easterling, Dr. Deanna Doyle, Dr. Richard Jamison and Dr. Kyle Garner purchased 8,549 square feet of the second floor of the Sarasota Memorial Medical Arts building for $1.76 million.

The price equated to $206 per square foot.

The medical practice started renovating the property in April and has already relocated to it from a leased space on Bee Ridge Road.

“This puts us close to the hospital,” says Tara Wypiszynski, business office manager for Gulf Coast Obstetrics & Gynecology. “That way our doctors don't have to get behind on patients because they had to go across town for an emergency. This also allows us to do surgical procedures in the office. It allows us to see more patients, and it's cheaper for them. We're considering offering mammography as well.”

Eventually, the hospital plans to connect the parking garage to the building via a walkway.

The purchase entity EDJG Holdings LLC mortgaged the property to Branch Banking and Trust Co. for two loans of $1.48 million and $218,669.65.
