New restaurant planned

for Bradenton area

The owners of Caragiulos Restaurant on Palm Avenue in downtown Sarasota plan to open a second location in Bradenton's Pinewood Commons Shopping Center on Cortez Road West. Randal Roulette, the chef at the downtown location and the former chef at The Chelsea Grill and Jordan's Steakhouse, will be the managing partner. The restaurant is scheduled to open in February.

Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota makes

Conde Nast Traveler's 'Gold List'

The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, was named to Conde Nast Traveler's prestigious Gold List, the magazine's annual compendium of "The World's Best places to Stay." The Sarasota hotel ranked in the top one-third of the 179 U. S. resorts and hotels listed in the January 2004 issue. According to the magazine, "each room in this first-rate downtown hotel has a view of the marina, the skyline, or the bay." And "all are decorated in rich colors and dark wood." The Vernona restaurant, with a AAA Four Diamond rating, serves flavorful Mediterranean cuisine. The Ritz-Carlton is located near many of Sarasota's art galleries, boutiques and restaurants.

Squeegeemasters

has new owner

Squeegeemasters Window Cleaning announced Steve Kemp as the new owner. Previously, Kemp served as the general manager. Squeegeemasters is expanding its services to include residential window cleaning.

Allan Shaivitz Associates Inc.

opens Lakewood Ranch office

Allan Shaivitz Associates Inc. opened a second location, at Lakewood Ranch. With offices in Baltimore and Sarasota, the firm specializes in providing design, planning, furnishings and project management for corporate, commercial, institutional, health care, and hospitality interiors. Allan is a fellow in the International Interior Design Association and a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers
