Sarasota University ranked

second in doctorate degrees

Argosy University-Sarasota ranked second in the nation for producing more African-American students with doctorate degrees than any other college or university in the country, according to statistics from the U.S. Department of Education. Nova Southeastern came in first, while the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor was third.

Clarke Advertising & Public Relations earned a first place award in the Fox River/Gilbert Paper Outstanding Design Awards Contest. The firm took first place in the corporate brochure category for its client Kanaya, a new real estate development. The brochure was selected for its outstanding design and use of paper.

Design Marketing Group will provide business-to-business marketing collateral and Web design services to EMX, which has deployed thermal imaging systems for combat surveillance in Iraq and homeland security in the United States.

The Florida Department of Transportation awarded a $9 million contract to Consul-Tech to manage and supervise repairs and road construction in Hurricane Charleyis aftermath. Consul-Tech managed $380 million worth of repairs in 2001 after Hurricane Irene and also helped in Miami-Dade County after Hurricane Andrew.
