ESTERO — Kaufman Lynn Construction, based on the east coast of Florida, has opened an office in Southwest Florida to focus on new projects in the region, and the company named Daniel Root regional senior vice president.

Root will oversee the new office, which is the latest in the full-service construction firm’s growth. It recently opened an office in Raleigh, N.C., established a presence in Texas and opened its new corporate headquarters in Delray Beach.

Root is a third-generation builder with more than 25 years of industry experience, joining KL five years ago as a project executive. In his new role, Root will be responsible for the overall management and strategic planning of the company’s construction projects in the region.

“Dan’s enormous work ethic and dedication to advancing KL's mission of exceeding our client’s expectations has always impressed me,” says KL Chief Executive Officer Michael Kaufman. “I am confident in his ability to lead our Southwest Florida office to the same kind of success we’ve had in South Florida for nearly 30 years.”

The company recently completed Moorings Park at Grey Oak in Naples and has more Gulf Coast-area projects underway including Springs at Hammock Cove, Springs at Port Charlotte, Addison Place in Naples and the Erickson Senior Living Sales Center in Naples.
