ST. PETERSBURG — National University of Health Sciences has opened a new, $1.9 million clinic at Pinellas Park. With 10 treatment rooms, a physical rehabilitation room and classroom space, the clinic will offer chiropractic and other medical services.

The clinic is the eighth for the National University system, based in Lombard, Ill., near Chicago, and the second in Florida. In 2009, the university opened its first clinic in the state at St. Petersburg College.

Dr. Mohsen Radpasand will serve as the new clinic's physician. In addition to health services at the Pinellas Park clinic, the university offers courses leading to the doctor of chiropractic degree at its St. Petersburg campus.

A number of officials attended the Nov. 9 opening ceremony, including State Sen. Dennis Jones, Pinellas Park City Manager Michael Gustafson, and the city's principal planner, Joe Incorvia.
