Caterer elected to international organization board

Greg Shapiro will help lead the 1,500-member International Caterers Association’s 2019 initiatives.

NAPLES — Tastebuds Custom Catering owner Greg Shapiro has been elected to the International Caterers Association 2019 Board. 

Baltimore-based ICA, a a nonprofit, is a resource for professional caterers by providing education, collaboration and inspiration to more than 1,500 members worldwide. It produces publications, seminars, workshops and demonstrations for trade and industry organizations throughout the year, according to a statement. 

“The International Caterers Association has assisted Tastebuds tremendously for the past 10 years, and I’m honored to be given this opportunity to give back,” says Shapiro in the statement. 

Prior to launching Tastebuds Custom Catering in 2008, Shapiro, a culinary professional for more than 20 years, was a restaurant owner. He is also a member of the International Catering Association Culinary Council; and each year leads courses at Catersource, the Show for Catering & Event Professionals and the ICA’s Art of Catering Food Conference.
