SARASOTA — Midas of Sarasota-Bradenton owner Steven Feig received the Working Forward Small Business Award and $20,000 from financial services company Synchrony Financial.
Feig opeartes Midas car repair and maintenance locations on Cortez Road and Manatee Avenue in Bradenton and Clark Road in Sarasota.
According to a press release, Feig's business was one of 10 businesses in the U.S. to be recognized with the annual honor. The award is given to small businesses that "showcase passion for their community and initiative to grow their business."
The $20,000 Feig and his team were awarded will be divided into two parts — $10,000 will be invested into the local community and $10,000 will be used to enhance Feig's three Midas locations.
Synchrony Financial has awarded $300,000 to winners in 15 cities in the U.S. since the inception of the Working Forward Small Business Awards in 2016.
