BRANDON — Brandon Honda on Adamo Drive will soon be sold, and all 94 of the dealership's current employees might lose their jobs.
The Jacksonville-based Scott-McRae Group is selling the dealership to Morgan Auto Group, which is also based in Jacksonville. In a release, Scott-McRae CEO David Hodges says the sale would help his company reduce its debt.
Last week, Scott-McRae filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the state, confirming that 94 employees could be impacted by the sale.
Morgan Auto Group currently operates several other Gulf Coast dealerships, including BMW of Sarasota, Lamborghini Sarasota and Toyota of Tampa Bay.
