SARASOTA — AmeriTrust Group Inc.'s retail agency subsidiary, Meadowbrook Insurance Agency, has acquired Sarasota-based Carol P. Rummel Insurance Agency, a firm doing business as Signature Insurance Agency.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to a press release, the acquisition provides Meadowbrook with additional revenue opportunities, niche product expertise and expanded market reach.
As part of the transaction, Carolyn Rummel has been named president of Meadowbrook Insurance Agency's Florida operations.
"Carolyn Rummel has over 20 years of strong agency management and leadership experience, with a solid track record of success," says Meadowbrook Insurance Agency President Brian Risen in the statement. "This acquisition is consistent with our strategy to expand our full-lines agency presence in the Florida marketplace."
AmeriTrust Group was founded in 1955. It is a specialty commercial insurance underwriter and insurance administration services provider.
