ST. PETERSBURG — Yesner & Boss, a law firm specializing in tax defense, real estate, personal injury and family law, is opening its fourth office in the state of Florida in Boynton Beach. It is the firm's first eastern office in the state.

As the state's real estate market continues to recover slowly, Yesner & Boss will look for Boynton Beach clients with legal issues related to foreclosures and short sales. To that end, the firm cited a RealtyTrac report estimating that 34,000 Miami-area properties are currently in some stage of the foreclosure process.

The office is currently staffed with just two employees, but neither is a lawyer. Instead, a real estate specialist and a mortgage and finance specialist represent the firm.

Yesner & Boss moved into a downtown office in Sarasota last November. Jo Ann Koontz leads that part of the firm's business.

Shawn Yesner and Chris Boss are the company's namesake partners.
