Tampa Bay Business and Professional Women (BPW) will honor Judy Lisi, the organization's selection for 2010 “Woman of the Year,” at its 18th annual Networking Night event on Thursday.
Lisi is president and CEO of the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts. After years of operating losses before her arrival, Lisi has brought the Center back to profitability. She also played a key role in opening the Patel Conservatory, the educational facility attached to the Straz Center.
This year's BPW Networking Night will be held at the Centre Club on Westshore Boulevard, and will feature a silent auction. Registration is required, and can be completed online.
The Tampa Bay BPW was founded in 2009 after a merger between two other local women's groups. In June, its members elected Sherri Strazz to lead the group as president for 2011.
