VENICE — Window manufacturer PGT Industries promoted executive Brad West to the position of vice president and controller, where he will oversee the company's accounting, finance and risk management departments.

West, according to a statement, will report directly to Jeff Jackson, PGT executive vice president of operations and CFO. “Brad has been an integral part of the PGT team for many years and has consistently provided strategic, innovative ideas that directly contributed to more effective use of our capital and growth of our business,” Jackson says in the statement.

West has more than 16 years of management experience in manufacturing. “PGT has witnessed many changes in the industry over the past seven years, but the brand and products have withstood the challenge,” West says in the statement. “I have learned a lot about our products and our customers since first joining the organization and I'm excited about the future of the company, as well as the markets we serve.”

PGT, one of the largest impact-resistant window and door manufacturers in the country, has seen a resurgence in sales and its share price over the past year (symbol: PGTI, recent price: $9.90.)
