TAMPA — WellCare Health Plans Inc. has agreed to lease a 76,120-square-foot office building in Tampa International Business Center. TerraCap Management LLC owns the building, located at 5301 Idlewild Ave., Tampa.
Phillip Weber and Hans Kaunath of CBRE in Tampa represented the landlord and David Johnson and Elizabeth Osborne with DTZ in Denver represented the tenant.
“This building afforded WellCare immediate occupancy and [a] convenient location that worked perfectly for the healthcare company's immediate needs and future growth,” Weber says in a press release. “This office complex serves as a great value to tenants and is an excellent economic alternative to the higher-priced Westshore submarket.”
Constructed in 1981, Tampa International Business Center is located in a seven-building office complex just north of Tampa International Airport.
A spokesperson for WellCare Health Plans was not immediately available for additional information.
Tampa-based WellCare Health Plans provides managed care services targeted to government-sponsored health care programs, such as Medicaid and Medicare. As of Sept. 30, it had 4 million members.
