Webster named FAIA chair

TALLAHASSEE — Cindy Webster, president and CEO of Largo-based Jack Rice Insurance LLC, will serve as chairwoman of the board of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents for the 2011-2012 term starting Sept. 1.

Webster has previously served on the FAIA board of directors and has chaired the FAIA Trusted Choice Task Force. Webster has been with the Jack Rice agency since 1990.

Prior to that, she was vice president and principal of the AIM Insurance Agency in Clearwater. Webster has served on the local Pinellas Association of Independent Agents board, and served as its president in 1993. Webster is also a recipient of the American Business Woman's Association's “Woman of the Year” award.

Webster is the fifth female president of the FAIA, which is the oldest and largest insurance organization in Florida. The association represents 2,000 independent property and casualty agency locations, employing
