You can add a new title to Norman Love's culinary exploits: author.

On Dec. 21, the celebrated chocolate chef from Fort Myers will introduce and sign copies of his new book at the Norman Love Confections store at Miromar Outlets in Estero.

The chef's book is called Artistry in Chocolate, a Story of Love. The coffee table book captures images of Love's artistic chocolates and also recounts how he started his business.

Love began his career with pastry shops and luxury hotels, moving up from pastry chef at the Beverly Hills Hotel to corporate executive pastry chef for Ritz-Carlton. In that position, he helped Ritz open pastry operations in 39 Ritz hotels around the world before settling in Fort Myers to start his own business in 1999.

The 84-page book, dedicated to his mother and grandmother who inspired him, also includes employee perspectives on what it's like to work with Love.

The date of the book signing has been updated in this story.
