The Gulf Coast Venture Forum added David Kakkuri and John Gleeson to its board last month. Gleeson will also serve as president-elect, a release said.

Gleeson provides professional business advice to clients through the two businesses he owns: Gleeson Real Estate Group and CFO Vision LLC. He is vice president of finance for the Economic Development Council of Collier County, and serves on the Urban Land Institute Southwest Florida District Council as treasurer.

Kakkuri is the director of the Center for Leadership, Innovation, and Economic Development in the Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University. He is also a board member with the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.

The Gulf Coast Venture Forum is led by President Tim Cartwright. Cartwright was quoted in the Business Review's feature story on economic gardening last month.
