Bonita Springs-based luxury homebuilder Harwick Homes, fresh off an expansion to Marco Island, is getting some global TV attention.
The homebuilder, with a niche in building and remodeling homes priced from $1 million to more than $10 million, was recently selected for HGTV's 2017 Ultimate House Hunt Competition. The company's Estuary estate, according to a release, is a finalist in the contest's Outdoor Retreat category. The category is comprised of seven other homes, including a South African mansion; a waterfront villa in St. Maarten; and a mountaintop estate in Hawaii.
The Harwick Homes entry, a private residence in Estuary at Grey Oaks in Naples designed by internationally acclaimed architect Richard Wengle, oozes luxury. Entry to the home, five bedrooms plus a study, is through Coquina stone columns. The resort-style pool is designed with floating paver walkways that wander among palm trees. “Gallery-like interiors define the 8,500 square feet of living space,” the release adds.
A spacious game room/media room with a balcony overlooks the water, the builder says, and the home is full of innovative automated features, down to motorized screens and shades.
“It is a timelessly understated elegant estate home finished in simple stones, woods and floor to ceiling glass picture windows that reveal sweeping lake vistas and the 11th hole of the Estuary's championship golf course,” Harwick Homes President Mark Smith says in the release. “This gorgeous backyard getaway is exactly what the HGTV producers were looking for because it embraces and makes the outdoors truly great.”
Harwick Homes was founded in 1986. The company expanded to Marco Island in April.
