In the midst of the ongoing debate over funding SunRail during last week's special legislative session, Florida Trend's Web site poll asked readers to weigh-in on the costly central Florida commuter rail line proposal.

The “Ballot Box” asked readers to choose one of two responses “Regarding SunRail ... Central Florida needs a commuter rail” or “It's too expensive or won't be widely used.”

As of about 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 7, 90%, 1,705 readers, responded it was too expensive or won't be widely used, and only 10%, 183, supported the project.

Based on the final vote, it appears legislators were not paying attention.
