SARASOTA — Teakdecking Systems has grown its engineering and design capabilities by hiring a new director of engineering and design, Michael Hartline.
Hartline is a naval architect with over 30 years of experience who has held leadership roles along the East and West coasts of the U.S., according to a press release.
He has held key positions with Cabo Yachts as director of operations at the Adelanto, Ca., operation and director of operations at the New Bern, N.C., operation. He was also program manager for Hatteras Yachts and senior naval architect for Brunswick Boat Group. His most recent role was director of engineering for Ocean Alexander yachts. In that position, he was responsible for all production engineering and new product development, initiating and maintaining a new ECR program, creating new standards and processes for engineering and products, and developing a company standard print list and control program.

Teakdecking Systems, founded in 1983, is a supplier of teak decking systems. The company also distributes composite decking. Products also include repair and maintenance products, such as caulk, epoxy, cleaners and adhesives available through national and global distributors.
