TAMPA — Newgentek, an IT company that designs, installs and supports technology infrastructure and workspaces, has invested $500,000 in an expansion of its North American headquarters in Tampa.
According to a press release, the homegrown company will hire 20 additional local employees as part of the expansion of its 6,400-square-foot facility, located at 5555 W. Waters Ave.
"In the past 90 days, the Newgentek team has grown 24% and is now operating at 80% capacity in our facility," Newgentek President Jared Lederhandler states in the release. "With the anticipated growth through Tampa and surrounding cities, we anticipate this trend continuing over the next 24 months. This trend will require us to further expand our team and outreach."
Newgentek was founded in 2017 by a group of IT entrepreneurs and professionals and joins a growing number of technology companies that have recently chosen to expand operations in Tampa and Hillsborough County, including TransferWise, Revature and Vendita.
