Growing investment firm adds managing director to team

Dennis Holthaus joins Tampa-based Skyway Capital Markets.

TAMPA — Skyway Capital Markets, a Tampa-based boutique investment banking firm, named Dennis Holthaus managing director.

According to a news release, Holthaus will focus on advising credit union and community bank clients.

Holthaus comes to Skyway from Achieva Merger Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dunedin-based Achieva Credit Union, where he served as president. Under his leadership, the release states, Achieva became the first credit union to acquire a community bank via merger

“We are at an exciting juncture at Skyway Capital Markets,” Skyway Chairman Marty Traber states in the release. “In a short period, we’ve grown to a team of 10 bankers. Dennis’s contributions are already yielding results and he fits in well with our experienced team, delivering the right outcomes for clients across a range of industries.”

During his 46-year career, the release states, Holthaus has also held leadership positions at publicly traded banks, privately held banks and a mutual savings bank.
