TAMPA -- Haneke Design, a technology development and design firm, will create a custom mobile application for The Competitor Group's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon event series.

Headquartered in Tampa, Haneke Design has 15 employees. President Jody Haneke is an alumnus of Ringling College of Art and Design.

The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series combines a 26.2-mile run with live local bands, cheerleaders, and a venue for fans to support runners. The series spans 24 cities across the globe, including stops in St. Petersburg (Feb. 12), Philadelphia, and Denver within the U.S., as well as visits to Madrid, Spain, and Dublin, Ireland.

"With Haneke Design, we found collaborators who could perfectly translate our vision for a user-friendly mobile app that would capture the series' excitement, and help athletes and visitors plan their training, trips, and course strategy. They took our original concept for the app and made terrific suggestions for adding greater value and utility to it,” says Dan Vaughan, a vice president with Competitor Group.

In addition to its Tampa operations, Haneke Design also operates an office in Denver.
