Summervilles sell for $8.5M

VENICE — Two assisted-living facilities located on Florida's Gulf Coast were sold as a pair for $8.5 million this week.

Summerville of Venice contains 42,714 square feet of space, with 90 licensed beds and 78 units. Its sister facility, Summerville of New Port Richey, contains 100 licensed beds in 70 units, with 39,398 square feet of space.

Seattle-based Emeritus Corp. was the seller in the deal, while California-based Nelson Brothers Professional Real Estate LLC bought the properties.

Krone Weidler, a senior associate in Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services' Tampa office, brokered the sale.
