After 23 years with Midwest contractor, third-generation construction professional Shelly Patterson lands with Suffolk.
ESTERO — A construction industry veteran’s move from the Midwest to Southwest Florida has resulted in a new executive hire for national construction management firm Suffolk, one of the largest building contractors in Florida.
The new hire, Shelly Patterson, recently joined the firm as project executive of the Gulf Coast operations team. She has more than 24 years of industry experience, according to a statement. For the past 23 years, the third-generation construction professional worked for The Boldt Company, a Midwest-based construction firm with revenues of more than $1 billion, the past six years as executive vice president and general manager of Minnesota operations.
“After more than two decades with Boldt, I was excited to find an opportunity with Suffolk after relocating to Southwest Florida,” says Peterson in a statement. “Suffolk’s culture was very attractive to me, as they are a progressive, innovative and training-driven company.”
Peterson will lead various aspects of project management for Suffolk’s University Village and Bentley Village VI, as well as other upcoming projects.
“Shelly is an extremely talented individual and we couldn’t be more excited to have her on board,” says Suffolk Florida Gulf Coast Region COO Josh Christensen. “Her leadership skills and energy will go a long way to support our growth goals in Southwest Florida and beyond.”
Privately held Suffolk is a national building contractor with $3 billion in annual revenue and Florida offices in Tampa, Estero, Miami and West Palm Beach as well as Boston, New York City, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego.
