'Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa became the first resort to offer full services to guests after Hurricane Ian on Sanibel Captiva Islands on Thursday.

The announcement was made with the opening of the Old Captiva House restaurant. The resort is currently only accepting island residents, first responders and workforce teams with approved island access, according to a statement.

The full scope of services now available include one-, two- and three-bedroom accommodations, the Captiva Coffee House, tennis and pickleball courts, beach access, pools, marina, a gift shop and free parking.

“My sincere thanks to all of the team members of Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts who’ve made this remarkable recovery possible,” CEO Doug Babcock says in a release. “In addition, our heartfelt thanks and appreciation goes out and will continue to go out to all the first responders, power, water, debris and others working to restore our islands so quickly and professionally.”

Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts has been in the area since 1931 and now features four beach resorts, including 'Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa, along with a number of restaurant and entertainment venues and options.
