TAMPA — While offensive linemen protect new Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, cybersecurity firm ReliaQuest will safeguard the team’s digital network.

According to a press release, Tampa-based ReliaQuest has entered into a partnership with the Bucs that will see it become the team’s official cybersecurity partner. The Bucs organization will use ReliaQuest’s GreyMatter product to fend off data security breaches. ReliaQuest enjoys a similar relationship with the NBA’s Boston Celtics.

"The Buccaneers are embarking on an incredibly exciting season and ReliaQuest is thrilled to partner with this iconic team," ReliaQuest CEO Brian Murphy states in the release. "Professional sports franchises are challenged with a complex security landscape, including the need to secure technologies, facilities and sensitive data. We are looking forward to bringing the power of GreyMatter to resolve these issues while jointly increasing awareness of the need to make security possible across the broader industry and community."

Over the past three years, ReliaQuest’s revenue has grown at a 450% rate as more clients around the world have adopted its GreyMatter software-as-a-service platform, a service that uses artificial intelligence and automation to bolster data security. The company recently secured $300 million in growth financing from global investment firm KKR, Ten Eleven Ventures and Murphy.

"We have always been vigilant about protecting the sensitive information of our customers and are thrilled to welcome ReliaQuest, a leader in our community and on the global cybersecurity stage, as our newest partners," Bucs COO Brian Ford states in the release. "This innovative partnership is the first of its kind for our franchise, helping keep our team and our fans safer by increasing visibility into potential security threats, as well as the powerful technology to combat them.”
