J. Emmett Reed joined the Florida Chamber Foundation's Board of Trustees this week. Reed is the executive director of the Florida Health Care Association, a 1,000-member advocacy organization that supports the state's nursing employees.
As a member of the board, Reed will serve in an advisory role, helping the foundation direct its efforts to support the growth of Florida's economy.
Prior to leading Florida Health Care Association, Reed spent 11 years serving the Florida Home Builders Association. While there, he created the Future Builders of America Training Camp, which provides students with an introductory-level home-building education.
Reed is also the former director of membership for the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce.
