FORT MYERS -- Trey Radel, host of the Daybreak with Trey Radel show on 92.5 FM Fox News, is running for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Radel is running for the seat representing Florida's 14th Congressional District, recently vacated by Connie Mack, who is running for U.S. Senate.

“As a conservative Republican and the conservative voice of Southwest Florida, I'm asking for your vote to represent you and your values,” Radel says in an email announcing his candidacy.

Radel has scheduled two public events to promote his new campaign, both on Jan. 12: at 10 a.m., he will appear at The Clubhouse Grill in Cape Coral; and at 3 p.m., he will visit Vergina Restaurant in Naples.
