MANATEE — A new Publix is coming to north Manatee County in the Gateway Commons of Manatee development.

Publix will anchor the commercial development by Primerica Group One Inc./Primerica Developments Inc. of Tampa, according to a press release. The development is at the intersection of Moccasin Wallow and Buffalo roads, immediately east of an undeveloped Interstate-75 interchange at exit 229.

The center will include 83,000 square feet of retail space, excluding outparcels. The retail space ranges from 1,400 to 20,000 square feet. Available outparcels are 1 to 3 acres, the release states.

Site construction has started. The development is scheduled to open in early fall 2019.
