FORT MYERS — Gary Tasman, founder, executive director and principal broker of Cushman & Wakefield Commercial Property Southwest Florida, has been appointed to the executive committee of Cushman & Wakefield's National Land Practice Group.

The executive committee “offers a unique understanding and perspective of thought leadership and best practices” to guide the group in working with institutional and private land buyers and sellers, according to a statement. The executive committee has 11 members, while the entire Land Practice Group has 163 members, the release adds.

“It's an honor to be selected to serve along with like-minded individuals who are also seasoned professionals in the land and development arenas,” Tasman says in a statement.

Tasman, with 31 years in commercial real estate, works often in the region on market analytics, financial feasibility studies, site analyses and land development, in addition to deals and working with clients. Cushman & Wakefield Commercial Property Southwest Florida, based in Fort Myers, is one of the region's largest commercial real estate brokerage and commercial property management firms.

Bruce Erhardt, head of Cushman & Wakefield's National Land Practice Group, appointed Tasman to the position. “We look forward to leveraging Gary's expertise and experience in all facets of real estate to deliver the best solutions for our clients interested in a wide array of property types,” Erhardt says in the release.
