TAMPA — The Small Business Development Center at the University of South Florida is offering a program on Tuesday, Nov. 27, to help companies learn the basics of international trade, and the benefits of going global.

According to the center, international firms are more stable than strictly domestic companies. Getting a broad overview of the trade arena is a first step before a company begins to formulate its international strategy, the center says in a statement and course description.

The educational program will be held 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at SBDC at the University of South Florida, Tampa Port Authority Building, 1101 Channelside Drive, Suite 210 in Tampa. The speaker is Maria Yepes. The program costs $10. More information is available by calling 813-905-5828.

The program is being offered through the Florida Small Business Development Center Network, which has helped hundreds of thousands of potential and existing business owners by providing management advice, training, and information, according to the development center's website.
