BRADENTON — Pearl Homes has named Ethan Tieger its vice president of strategic growth and general counsel.

As the company’s chief legal officer, Tieger will advise on legal and transactional matters, initially focusing on efforts in Florida as Pearl Homes’ projects in the state continue to expand and evolve, according to a press release.

He joins retired NBA basketball player Dahntay Jones and founder Marshall Gobuty on the Bradenton-based net-zero energy home builder’s executive team.

Before joining Pearl Homes, Tieger was an associate with Chicago-based Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP. The national firm has about 425 lawyers and specializes in representing clients in complex litigation and regulatory and transactional matters.

“With multiple Pearl Homes projects now underway in Florida, and in Texas and California, the need to be focused on the growth of the business and the legal efforts surrounding each development has really taken off,” says Pearl Homes CEO and Chairman Gobuty in a statement. “Ethan brings the right set of skills to our growing modern home and community development business.”

Marshall Gobuty founded Pearl Homes in 2018 after developing Mirabella, a 55-plus age group community of 158 LEED Platinum-certified homes in Bradenton. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design is a rating system used by the U.S. Green Building Council to measure a building’s sustainability and resource-efficiency.
