SARASOTA — Progressive Employer Management Co., a payroll, human resources, workers' compensation and employee benefits firm, has opened a new office in Ocala.
Sarasota-based Pemco, founded in 1999, is one of the fastest growing professional employer organizations (PEOs) in the country. The company services the professional, medical, contractor, hospitality, service, industrial and nonprofit sectors. The Ocala office is Pemco's ninth location, the company says, with another office set to open in Miami later this year.
“Being from Central Florida myself, I am proud of this new expansion and the fact that we hired local professionals to work in this area,” Pemco CEO Clinton Burgess says in the release. “Having local talent allows us to reach out to more clients and integrate with the established business community to provide administrative solutions and help businesses grow.”
Kim Rutledge, who has worked in the PEO industry in Ocala for more than 18 years, was named regional sales manager for the new office.
