× Elizabeth Potter recently joined Brown & Brown Insurance as a customer service representative in the commercial select department. She has 21 years experience in property and casualty insurance.

Law

× The Sarasota/Manatee Association of Legal Support Specialists installed its new officers at an April 1 meeting at the Hillview Grill.

They are Jean Myers, president; GCBR's Karen Hormuth, vice president; LaJuana Pruitt, secretary; Michele Marks, paralegal treasurer; Suzanne Johnson, chapter liaison; and Cheryl Johnson, president-elect.

× Todd Perkins opened a law office at 1001 Third Ave. W., Bradenton. Perkins specializes in consumer law, bankruptcy and family law.

× Doctors Hospital announced that Debbie Van Pragg and Betty Davis were selected by the hospital's staff to receive the Frist Humanitarian Award. Van Pragg joined the hospital in 1991 as a scheduling nurse and became manager of central scheduling in 1994. Davis has been a volunteer through the hospital's Senior Friends program since 1994.
